The Automotive Aftermarket Support Programme 

The Automotive Aftermarket Support Programme is a cornerstone of the AIDC-EC’s commitment to the overall empowerment of the automotive aftermarket SMMEs in the Eastern Cape. The department focuses on the ecosystem of businesses and services that support vehicles after they have been sold by the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).  The targeted audience are historically disadvantaged SMMEs.

Component Suppliers and Investor Support

The Component Suppliers and Investor Support department is committed to bolstering the Eastern Cape automotive sector through a comprehensive range of services.  It focuses on three main areas: Consulting, Component Supplier Support, and Industry Investment Support.  All efforts are geared towards fostering a competitive and resilient automotive ecosystem in the Eastern Cape, thereby driving long-term success for all stakeholders involved.

ICT Governance and Digital Services

The ICT Governance and Digital Services department within AIDC Eastern Cape is responsible for aligning the ICT strategy with the organisation's strategy, optimizing ICT operations, and driving business value. The AIDC EC is dedicated to empowering its business stakeholders through the strategic utilisation of digital technologies and services. The department's vision is to leverage digital technologies to establish, enhance, and optimize the AIDC Eastern Cape's ICT capabilities.

The adept Marketing, Communication & Events Unit strategically positions the AIDC-EC as the preferred industry partner through collaborations and Enable the Eastern Cape Automotive Industry Become Globally Competitive.

Legal and Compliance

The Legal and Compliance unit is a located within CEO’s office with focus areas as follows: -
1.    General Legal advice and Regulatory alerts.
2.    Policy advice: content benchmarking and regulatory alerts.
3.    Compliance Universe: risk-based approach, and
4.    Contract Management - System to ensure monitoring, performance and output.
