Following the 2026 State of the Nation Address (SONA) by President Cyril Ramaphosa, The CEO of the AIDC-EC, Mr Thabo Shenxane, acknowledges key strategic priorities for investments and welcomes the following key interventions mentioned in the address.

The Board of the Automotive Industry Development Centre Eastern Cape (AIDC-EC) notes the recent public statement regarding governance and internal culture at the entity.

The AIDC-EC Board is pleased to announce the reappointment of Mr Thabo Shenxane as the CEO for the AIDC-EC. His contract has been formally extended for a fixed term of five (5) years, effective from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2030.
